VISIT DAYS, SHADOWS, & OTHER EVENTS!

As Fall comes to a close and Winter approaching, now is a GREAT time to set up a time to shadow or come to one of our events on campus! With some fall sports still going, the musical coming up, and winter sports around the corner, there is plenty of exciting action on campus, and you're invited!

We recently had over 120 students on campus for our 7th/8th grade visitation day- it was an awesome afternoon, complete with some OUTSTANDING lip syncs performed by students and staff.

On Wednesday, 11/10, we will host all 5th/6th graders for a luncheon theater! Lunch will be provided at 11:30am, with a performance of "Murderous Crossing," an interactive murder/mystery dessert theater. Should be a fun time- contact me if you want to attend!

THE YEAR HAS BEGUN...COME CHECK US OUT!

The school year here at DLHS is off to a great start! We are blessed with a freshmen class of 53, and we are truly excited about all that is ahead for the 2010-2011 year!

If you are a prospective student, we REALLY want you to spend a day on our campus and shadow one of our students! We have plenty of exciting events throughout the coming months, and would love to have you be a part of them.

What to expect this summer with schedules!

Hey new students at DLHS!

Incoming freshmen should have received your course selection sheet in the mail. Please fax that back to DLHS at 303-934-0455. You and your parents will be contacted soon by Ms. Denise Noffze, guidance counselor, to answer any questions you might have about your schedule.

Transfer students - your schedule will be built based off your transcript from your previous school. You may fax that to DLHS at 303-934-0455.

Student schedules will be bulit mid-July and be posted on RenWeb at that time. You will be notified when they are viewable and given instructions on how to view your schedule.

SPRING/SUMMER DATES!

As we roll through spring and into summer, I just wanted to remind our prospective families of noteworthy dates and events coming up:

April:

15: Growing In HIM school tour! 7:30am-8:30am

15: Elementary/Jr. High Band Festival- 7pm @ DLHS!

22, 23, 24: Spring Play @ DLHS- get your tickets now!

May:

6: Growing In HIM tour- 7:30am-8:30am!

11: POPS Concert @ DLHS!

14: Field Day!

June:

4: DLHS Golf Tournament! Get your 4-somes ready!

5: Summer Slam! 3 on 3 streetball basketball tournament @ DLHS- all ages invited!

7: Placement Test! 8:30am-11:30am

7-10: DLHS boys basketball camp!

14-17: DLHS girls basketball camp!

We also have numerous spring athletic events going on over the next month and a half, including baseball, track, girls tennis, and girls indoor soccer- please feel free to join us and support the Lights!

REMINDERS...

I just wanted to remind all of our incoming freshmen about some important items:

- If you haven't taken a placement test, please sign up for one of the upcoming dates. Those that have already taken a placement test: your results are in, and have been mailed to your house.

- Applications do come with a $100 application fee. Please submit both at your earliest convenience.

- There are other "checklist items" that have been mailed to those of you who have applied. Please complete as soon as possible.

- If you would like to shadow and haven't yet, it certainly isn't too late! Simply contact me via cell or e-mail and I would be happy to set it up.
