MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY BREAK!

The first semester comes to a close on Friday, December 18th. School starts back up on Monday, January 4th.

We hope everyone enjoys a little time off to rest and recover from a busy first semester. Most importantly, enjoy celebrating the birth of our Savior! I truly thank God that I am in a place that celebrates the one and only God in chapel twice a week, in prayer both in the classroom and out, in the fact that every single staff member and person of influence is a believing disciple of Jesus Christ, the very God who serves as the backbone for everything we teach!

Being surrounded by an awesome body of believers everyday in students and staff is incredible. Praise God for Christian education...may God bless your CHRISTMAS (not "holiday") BREAK!

Students enjoyed a provided lunch, during which they watched lip sync competitions from previous years. They then participated in a competitive activity with our current students, followed by presentations from various staff representing numerous programs offered at Lutheran High.
It was a great afternoon! If you are interested in hearing more about the event or want to schedule a time to experience being a part of the DLHS community, please don't hesitate to contact me!

ZION LIONS!

On September 24th, myself and 2 of our senior students were welcomed by Zion Lutheran School in Brighton. Another great school! We were impressed by the energy for DLHS- I think it felt especially impressive because we met with all 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at once, which was approximately 110 kids! After providing the staff with lunch as a "thanks!" for all they do, we were able to provide information to the students about DLHS, give them passes to all of our home games, and answer questions (that were met with a vast array of candy). Once again, we were so impressed with how welcoming and inviting the school was- God is certainly doing some big things in that school. Thanks again, Lions!

BETHLEHEM BOBCATS!

On September 14th and 21st, myself and 4 senior students had the opportunity to visit the staff and students at Bethlehem Lutheran School in Lakewood. On the 14th, we hung out with the 5th and 6th graders, and then we came back on the 21st to spend time with the 7th and 8th graders. This was a great group of kids- on the 21st, we were able to provide lunch for the staff (a big "thanks!" for all you guys do!), and then provide information about DLHS to the students, pass out passes to all of our home games, and answer a variety of questions. It was a great afternoon! Thanks to the Bobcats for accomodating us- it is evident that a lot of good things are going on in that place.

BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR STARS!

On September 17th, myself and 2 of our senior students spent time with the students and staff at Beautiful Savior Lutheran School in Broomfield. What a "beautiful" facility- we really enjoyed our time there getting to provide lunch for the staff and meeting with the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We were able to provide information about DLHS, give everyone passes to all of our home games, and answer questions. Thanks to Beautiful Savior for being so accomodating!

REDEEMER VIKINGS!

On September 15th, we went and visited the Vikings at Redeemer Lutheran School in Denver. We had the opportunity to visit their 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms and had a great time hanging out with the students. We were able to provide lunch for their staff, answer questions, give them passes to our home games, and present information about all that DLHS has to offer! A big "thanks!" to Redeemer for a great afternoon.

ST. JOHNS PANTHERS!

On September 9th, myself and some students went and visited the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at St. Johns Lutheran School in Denver.
After providing lunch for the staff (you guys are awesome- especially that 8th grade teacher!), we spent time telling the students about DLHS, giving them passes to all of our home events, and answering questions they had. They were an excellent group! It was remarkable how welcome and inviting this place was- we all walked away impressed by the joy in ministry and "positive energy" felt in that place.

GETHSEMANE GLADIATORS!

On Friday, September 4th, I had the opportunity to visit another one of our Lutheran grade schools, this time at Gethsemane Lutheran School.

Similar to our Emmaus visit, myself and 2 of our students visited the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to provide information and a bunch of free stuff. We also were able to provide a great lunch to the staff as a "thank you!" for all that they do (the "Skinny Cow" desserts received rave reviews!). The response to Denver Lutheran High School was AWESOME, so we are certainly excited about our partnership with Gethsemane.

EMMAUS EAGLES!

On Thursday, September 3rd, I went and visited the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Emmaus Lutheran School in Denver.

Myself and 2 of our students provided information, gave each student and staff member a pass to all of our home games, and answered a variety of questions. We were met with many curious minds! I was also reminded of how many outstanding Emmaus alumni have attended Lutheran High- it is an impressive group. We also had the opportunity to provide lunch for their staff and visit with them as well- it was a great afternoon!
